David was appointed Chairman of Heritage Brands in 2002. He has extensive experience in finance, investment and merchant banking. He has deep managerial and corporate financial executive experience.
David’s career began at a very young age where he progressed to position of managing director in several high profile companies including Pitt Capital Partners Ltd, Kleinwort Benson Ltd and Stockland Trust Group.
Throughout his career, David has participated at board level in numerous private and listed companies. He specialises in administering and analysing acquisitions and mergers for profitability and long term viability.
As the premium service provider and ambassador for the organisation, his role at Heritage Brands is critical for the success of the group members and stakeholders. He ensures compliance and sustainability while offering
advice to the CEO.
David’s diversity and rich experience as a highly respected leader and mentor are partly attributed to his involvement as CEO at the Anglican Church of Australia. During this 10 year office, David developed a keen
understanding and empathy for others. He reflects “I learnt a great deal from this time with the church and worked with a fine group of people, many of whom are close friends to this day. Of the many things learnt in my
time there, the most important on the personal front, was to be more aware of others’ feelings and become a better listener.”
Most notably David is an excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills. He is a natural leader, strategic thinker and has excellent business acumen.
